Bircham Windmill & Norfolk Lavender

Bircham Windmill still looks as it did over 100 years ago. At that time over 300 mills ground corn for horse & cattle feed and bread-making in Norfolk. Today, very few windmills are left, and Bircham Mill is considered one of the best still remaining: it is the only windmill in working order in this area open to the public.
Our second stop brings us to Norfolk Lavender at Heacham, Norfolk's premier lavender farm. With around 100 acres of lavender fields and an oil distillery, plus on-site gift shops and a restaurant.

Bressingham Steam & Gardens
- & Afternoon Tea at a Mystery Location-

Bressingham has a lovely collection of narrow gauge rail lines and a number of types of steam engines and vehicles. It is also the home of a Dad's Army exhibition. Once you've steamed through the museum, take a break and enjoy the gorgeous gardens before we finish our excursion with some delicious afternoon tea.

Southwold in the Summer Sunshine

Southwold is described as the jewel of Suffolk's Heritage Coast, and it does not disappoint. With its famous pier, lighthouse and beach huts, Southwold is certainly one of the most popular resorts in East Anglia. Granted a Royal Charter back in 1489 by Henry VII, Southwold has a fascinating history and many links with the past can still be seen all over the town. On our way home we stop off at Carlton Colville for the East Anglia Transport Museum.

Bury St Edmunds on Market Day

Surrounded by countryside with 1,000 years of history to explore, Bury St Edmunds is the home of Saint Edmund, the original patron Saint of England.
Shopping in Bury St Edmunds offers plenty of choice with a great mix of fantastic independents and High Street favourites. There are beautiful outdoor spaces to explore and a plentiful arts scene including theatre, live music, film and art.

Aldeburgh, Thorpeness & Suffolk Villages Tour

Lined with mock-Tudor homes and filled with fairytale easter-eggs, Thorpeness is a jewel on the Suffolk Coast. Included is a trip to Dunwich for their delicious fish & chips.

Ely on Market Day

This Thursday we'll visit the Charter Market where there’s everything you’d expect from a traditional market, plus a few surprises. You’ll find locally grown fruit and vegetables, flowers, household goods, artisan bread, cakes and more. Then in the afternoon, we visit Kings Lynn.
